You have the right to ask for the following information about the College and financial aid:

  • What federal, state, institutional, and private financial aid programs are available?
  • What must students do to apply for aid, and how is eligibility determined?
  • How is aid distributed to students?
  • What are the deadlines for submitting applications for each of the financial aid programs available?
  • What is the cost of attendance and what is the refund policy?
  • What criteria is used to select financial aid recipients?
  • How is financial need determined? This process includes how costs for tuition and fees, room and board, travel, books and supplies, personal and miscellaneous expenses, etc., are considered in your budget.
  • What resources are considered in the calculation of your need?
  • How much of your financial need, as determined by the institution, has been met? What portion of your financial aid must be repaid, and what portion is grant aid? If the aid is a loan, you have the right to know the interest, the total amount that must be repaid, the payback procedures, the length of time you have to repay the loan and when repayment is to begin.
  • How and when will you receive your financial aid?
  • How does the school determine whether you are making satisfactory progress, and what happens if you are not?
  • What are the terms and conditions of any work-study program that is included as part of your financial aid award?
  • What are the College's programs, and what are the instructional, laboratory and physical plant facilities associated with those programs?
  • What are the names of the College's accrediting and licensing organizations? You also have the right to ask for a copy of the documents describing the institution's accreditation or licensing.
  • Who are the College's financial aid personnel, where they are located, and who should I contact with questions on financial aid?
