The Chieftain Award is presented to the senior student who, in the opinion of the faculty, staff, and student body, has contributed the most to Lycoming College through support of school activities; has exhibited outstanding constructive leadership qualities; has evidenced good moral character; and whose grade point average is equal to or above the median GPA of the preceding graduating class. The senior class nominated the candidates and the entire campus community voted for the candidate of their choice. Join us to meet the candidates and learn who will earn the honor of being named the 2020 Chieftain.

     2 oz. London Dry Gin
     ¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
     ¾ oz. honey syrup (3 parts honey, 1 part water)

     2 oz. London Dry Gin
     ¾ oz. fresh lime juice
     ¾ oz. simple syrup
     8 fresh mint leaves plus a mint sprig for garnish

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused extraordinary disruption to every aspect of our lives. Lycoming faculty discuss the global impact of COVID-19 from a societal, health, wellness, economic, and historical perspective.

Cooking Demonstration: Traditional Maine Lobster Rolls

Executive Chef Daniel Henry hosts this culinary adventure making delicious lobster rolls. Cook along with him using the following list of ingredients:

(2) 1.5 to 1.75 lb. lobsters (boiled or steamed)
3-4 Tbsp. mayonnaise
½ cup celery, finely chopped
Juice of 1 lemon, freshly squeezed
Sea salt to taste
Freshly ground pepper to taste
4 leaves Boston bibb lettuce
4 top-split, flat-sided hotdog buns
2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, softened
(serves 4)

Baking Demonstration: Pumpkin Bread Pudding

Bake along with Director of Catering Erin Welsh using the following list of ingredients:

1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
3 cups whole milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
15 oz. canned pumpkin (note: not pumpkin pie filling)
3 whole eggs
6 cups bread cubes (white bread)
½ cup raisins
Vanilla ice cream (if desired)

Virtual 5K: Running for Warriors
Lycoming College hosted the Virtual 5K: Running for Warriors during Virtual Homecoming Weekend on October 3, 2020. Participants could run or walk at any location in honor or in memory of a Warrior. A portion of all registration fees was contributed to scholarships at Lycoming College.
