Cookies, Web Beacons and Similar Technologies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that commonly use an anonymous unique identifier. Our website uses these "cookies" to collect information consistent with the Log Data, and to allow for functionality within secure sections of our website.

Third-Party Cookies

AdRoll

Our website utilizes a third-party advertising network (AdRoll) to collect data for the purpose of showing retargeted advertising on other websites. The AdRoll pixel collects the following data:

  1. Activity on Advertisers’ Digital Properties: This is data about your browsing activity on the Advertiser's website or app. For example, which pages you visited and when, what items were clicked on a page, how much time was spent on a page, whether you downloaded a white paper on a business to business website, what items you placed into your online shopping cart, what products were purchased and how much was paid.
  2. Device and browser information: This is technical information about the device or browser you use to access the Advertiser's website. For example, your device's IP address, cookie string data, operating system, and (in the case of mobile devices) your device type and mobile device's unique identifier such as the Apple IDFA or Android Advertising ID.

You may opt out of this tracking. For more information on opting out, visit www.aboutads.info, networkadvertising.org/choices, or youronlinechoices.eu (Europe only).

Social Media and Digital Marketing

We use online services and social media platforms, including Facebook, to share information through organic and paid digital campaigns and to gather data for the purposes of analyzing trends, improving user experience and enhancing the accuracy of marketing campaigns. These sites and services may use cookies, web beacons and other storage technologies to gather anonymous and personal data directly from you based on your online activity and personal privacy settings. Individual users are encouraged to monitor and adjust their personal privacy and security settings across the various online platforms.

With your permission, our website uses a conversion tracking pixel from Facebook, which allows us to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns on the Facebook and Instagram platforms. Any data collected by the pixel remains anonymous to us (i.e. we cannot see individual users' personal data). Facebook's use of the data collected is governed by Facebook's Data Policy found at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy. To adjust your permissions for that platform, visit https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/.

You opt into the tracking described above by choosing "OK, I agree" on the cookie notice that appears on our website. If you have opted in, and wish to reset your selection, visit this page.

On occasion, the college may provide personal data (e.g. email address) to a third-party social media platform or other vendor for the purpose of enhancing the accuracy of our digital marketing campaigns.
