Fall Check-In Information

2026-2027 Academic Year

We hope the information on this page will assist you in planning your arrival for the 2026-2027 academic year. In addition to the information below, you may want to check the FAQ, Policies and Procedures, and the Housing section of our website to find additional important information and answers to questions you may have. Housing Assignment

You can verify your housing assignment* and roommate information in Residence.

  • Residence provides your housing assignment as well as the name, address, and telephone number for your roommate(s).
    • New student assignments are not posted until ALL orientation sessions are complete, normally the first week in July.
    • For a period of time after the last orientation and until the majority of new student assignments are entered, housing assignment/roommate information (for both new and returning students) will not be available in Residence.
    • By the end of July, all students (new and returning) who have made the necessary payments and completed the required paperwork should be able to view their housing information.
  • If you have forgotten your password or have a problem logging into Residence, please contact IT Services at 570-321-4150 regarding your Lycoming credentials.
  • If you are still not seeing this information when you log in to Residence, you should contact the Residential Life office at 570-321-4046 as soon as possible.

Basic information regarding room dimensions/housing information is available on the Res Life webpage. Select the "Campus Housing" link on the left sidebar and then select your specific hall from the list at the bottom of the page. For more information about what is and isn't provided in campus residences, please see the "FAQ" link also on the left side of this page.

New/Transfer Students

All new students are expected to arrive and check in on Thursday, August 20 unless otherwise specified by a group sponsor (such as a coach, advisor, instructor, etc.).

Returning Students

Returning/upper-class students may check into campus housing at Burchfield Lounge (located above the Dining Hall in the Wertz Student Center) on Saturday, August 22 from 9:00am to 5:00pm, or Sunday, August 23 from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

  • Please watch for additional information regarding the check-in protocol.
  • Select offices (including Campus Life) will be open on Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23.
  • Dining Services operates both days according to a regular schedule. See Campus Dining.
  • Students with a balance due will be notified via email during the week of August 15 that they will need to report to the Business Office in Long Hall. If you have questions regarding your student account, please contact the Business Office.

Requests For Early Arrival

Students may not arrive early for personal reasons prior to Saturday, August 22 and may only arrive before their official check-in dates/times with prior approval. For those who are approved to arrive early for personal reasons, there may be a $50.00-per-night (or $200.00-per-week) fee charged to the student's account.

  • New students (first-year or transfer) who have legitimate personal reasons to arrive on campus prior to official check-in (Thursday, August 20) will need to contact the Orientation Office at (570) 321-4358. Please do NOT complete the online form unless/until otherwise instructed.
  • Returning/upper-class students who have legitimate personal reasons (travel arrangements, scheduling conflicts, family issues, etc.) to return prior to official check-in on August 22/August 23 must complete an online request for early arrival and receive approval from the Office of Residential Life.

    • The deadline to submit this form is Monday, August 17 at 12:00am (midnight).
    • Be advised: residents who are approved to return early for personal reasons may be charged a $50.00-per-day (or $200.00-per-week) early arrival fee.

Dining Services During Opening Weekend

The meal plan for Fall 2026 goes into effect beginning with lunch on Thursday, August 20. For Dining Services hours, please visit Campus Dining.
