Summer Piano Institute

The Lycoming College Summer Piano Institute fosters a community by providing participants with group classes, activities, and ensemble experience while offering the larger Williamsport community free recitals on campus and an outreach concert off campus.

We pursue excellence around piano performance by concentrating on masterclasses and private lessons in a nurturing community of artists. The limited enrollment preserves a small student-faculty ratio allowing for lots of interaction between participants, top-tier faculty, and guest artists. Finally, we value a holistic piano experience through workshops on effective practice, healthy technique, movement, performance anxiety, and improvisation, as well as expert panels on interdisciplinary arts engagement, career development, audition preparation, and more!
