Students Technology Access, Use and Policies
Students who have completed a confirmation deposit and/or are enrolled in the College are granted access to the myLyco student portal page, the College’s information management system (through WebAdvisor), and an email account. In addition, enrolled students are granted password-protected network space to save their files, and the use of networked printers in designated locations on campus. Current students also have access to computer labs during scheduled hours of operation.
First-year or transfer students typically receive user account information from the Office of the Dean of First-Year Students prior to new student orientation. If you are a first-year or transfer student and have questions concerning your user account, please contact the Office of the Dean of First-year Students.
Non-degree students receive user account information from the Office of Admissions. If you are a new non-degree student, please work with the Office of Admissions to receive your user account information. Note: these accounts will be deleted once you complete your coursework at Lycoming College.
Readmitted students receive user account information from the Office of the Registrar. If you are returning to Lycoming College to continue coursework, please contact the Office of the Registrar to receive your user account information. Note: these accounts will be deleted once you complete your coursework at Lycoming College.
Graduating students are able to maintain access to Lycoming College technology resources for a period of three (3) months following graduation. This three (3) month period of time helps students maintain email communication for job searches and/or graduate school applications. Extension of this service beyond three (3) months will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis; requests should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org with justification of your extension request.
Students withdrawing or suspended from Lycoming College will lose access to technology resources within two (2) weeks of final notification. Special requests to maintain accounts of such students can be submitted by the Vice President for Student Life/Dean of Students or the College Registrar.
Student user account passwords expire every 120 days.
