Lycoming College graduating senior commissioned as 2nd lieutenant in U.S. Army

Lycoming College 2023 graduate Michael Kustanbauter of Muncy, Pa., was commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant active duty Military Police Officer at a May 11 commissioning ceremony officiated by Lt. Col. John C. Acosta of Bald Eagle Battalion ROTC program.

Lycoming College graduate commissioned in U.S. Army Reserves

Lycoming College 2022 graduate Erika Boyer of East Greenville, Pa., was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserves and was assigned to the Quartermaster Corps at a commissioning ceremony in May.

Lycoming College ROTC cadets receive contracts

Two Lycoming College ROTC cadets were recently contracted in a ceremony where they took an oath committing to the completion of basic and advanced ROTC courses. As contracted students, both Wiley Kahler ’24 (business administration) and Nicholas Wilke ’24 (criminal justice and criminology) will enter the Army upon graduation as officers on either active or reserve duty.

Graduating seniors commissioned as 2nd lieutenants in U.S. Army

Two Lycoming College graduating seniors were commissioned as 2nd lieutenants in the U.S. Army during a virtual ceremony on Saturday, May 16. The students were part of the Bald Eagle Battalion ROTC program during their time at Lycoming College, keeping pace with their academic studies while participating in ROTC activities, including physical training, monthly leadership labs, and a semester-long field training exercise.
