Army ROTC Program Requirements

  • First- and second-year cadets commit approximately five hours a week during the school year while third- and fourth-year students commit approximately ten hours a week.
  • Participate in a five-week training course in the summer between your junior and senior year.
  • Gain experience in other specialized summer training, such as airborne school, air assault school, internships with active duty Army units, or internships with federal government agencies.
  • Work alongside peers in advanced military science courses such as Leadership in Changing Environments, Developing Adaptive Leaders, and Leadership in a Complex World.
  • Participate in monthly leadership labs as well as a semester field training exercise.
  • Beginning Fall 2023, ROTC cadets will earn 1 credit per Military Science course for a total of up to 8 credits upon graduation.
