2026 Commencement Schedule of Events

Friday, May 8

9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Senior Check-In - Lamade Gymnasium
Seniors may pick up their caps, gowns, hoods, and keys for the residence hall (if applicable). The Business Office will be open to receive payments for remaining bills. Late arrivals may pick up caps and gowns and sign the wooden “26” class numbers at the Registrar’s Office in Long Hall until 4 p.m. on Friday or between 9 and 11 a.m. on Saturday. Late arrivals may pick up room keys in the Office of Public Safety.

12:30 p.m. Practice for Commencement - Fultz Quadrangle
Practice is mandatory, and you must attend unless excused by Dr. Elizabeth Moorhouse or Dr. Todd Preston, Faculty Marshals.
Rain Location: Keiper Recreation Center 

1 to 2:30 p.m. Senior Picnic - Upper Quad
This event is for seniors only; no guests please.
Rain Location: Pennington Lounge, Academic Center

4:30 p.m. Baccalaureate Line-Up for Graduates – Clarke Chapel Basement
Seniors are asked to promptly assemble in the Clarke Chapel basement in graduation gowns without their caps.

5 p.m. Baccalaureate Service - Clarke Chapel
The service has been planned by and implemented for the Class of 2026. No tickets are necessary. Light refreshments will immediately follow the service in the Clarke Chapel narthex.

7:30 p.m. Lycoming College Choir Concert - Clarke Chapel

Saturday, May 9

9 to 10:30 Breakfast for Seniors - Dining Hall, Wertz Student Center

11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Senior Housing Check-Out - Rich Hall Patio on Warrior Way
Please check out on the Rich Hall Patio on Warrior Way or at the Office of Public Safety during any other time.

12:15 p.m. Commencement Line-up for Graduates - Pennington Lounge
Seniors are asked to assemble promptly in Pennington Lounge in caps and gowns. After role call. those who wish to participate may walk through the Oliver Sterling Metzler Gate with their class before processing to the Keiper Recreation Center together.

12 p.m.  Doors to the Keiper Recreation Center Open

2 p.m. Commencement 2026 - Keiper Recreation Center
Tickets are not needed.

4 p.m. Reception - Lamade Gymnasium

4 to 6 p.m. Senior Housing Check-Out - Rich Hall Patio on Warrior Way
Please check-out on the Rich Hall Patio or at the Office of Public Safety during any other time.

10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Senior Housing Check-Out - Rich Hall Patio on Warrior Way
