Lycoming College operates lycoming.edu, which includes, but is not limited to, www.lycoming.edu, mylyco.lycoming.edu, campaign.lycoming.edu, gowarriors.lycoming.edu, and collslfsrv-live.lycoming.edu. This statement informs website visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information. This statement applies only to information collected through our website and not to information collected offline.

The personal information that we collect is used for providing and improving our services. Lycoming College is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our site users. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Statement.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience while using our website, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, phone number, email address, and postal address. That information may be used to contact or identify you.

With your permission, our website uses a conversion tracking pixel from Facebook, which allows us to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns on the Facebook and Instagram platforms. Any data collected by the pixel remains anonymous to us (i.e. we cannot see individual users' personal data). On occasion, the college may provide personal data (e.g. email address) to a third-party social media platform or other vendor for the purpose of enhancing the accuracy of our digital marketing campaigns.

Mobile Number

Lycoming College may collect mobile numbers from users, with the user’s permission, for the purpose of providing official college information and notices. These mobile numbers may be shared with other persons or departments within the College to provide a requested service but will not be shared with any third party without express consent. The only exceptions would be in order to conduct normal College business or when Lycoming College is legally required to disclose information in response to a court issued subpoena or legally permissible inquiry by a governmental agency or regulator. Lycoming College does not distribute or sell lists of mobile numbers for commercial purposes but may occasionally provide lists to third party subcontractors who are rendering services on behalf of the College.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy

Lycoming College is bound by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regarding the release of student education records and, in the event of conflict with this statement, FERPA will govern.
