Krish Pillai joined Lycoming College in 2021 fall to teach computer science and applied discrete mathematics courses full time. His current research is focused on game design, parallel computation, graphics, and mobile applications development.

Pillai taught at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania for fourteen years before joining Lycoming College. Before pursuing a career in teaching, he worked as technical advisor and senior member of scientific staff at Nortel Networks and Bell Northern Research. He also worked for five years with the Indian Space Research Organization as a scientist/engineer before pursuing an advanced degree in computer engineering in the United States. In addition to research in computer science and engineering, Pillai is also actively involved in redesigning and improving existing computer science pedagogy. He is an active member of the IEEE and the ACM.
