Business Administration: Assistant Professor
Mark Zajack’s scholarly work in the field of organizational behavior focuses on leadership, motivation, employee well-being, and organizational culture. He comes to Lycoming College from Hastings College where he received recognition for outstanding teaching, including the Polished Apple Award for young faculty, and was twice selected by students and colleagues to give the annual campus-wide invited faculty lecture. Zajack’s teaching is informed by 10+ years of experience as a business analyst and consultant in the manufacturing and technology industries. For fun, Zajack also analyzes athletic performance via what is often referred to as a “Moneyball” approach to sports. These quantitative methods of player and team performance evaluation are theoretically devoid of intuitive bias, that is, unless Clemson is involved. Zajack received his Ph.D. from Clemson University, M.S. from San Jose State University, and B.A. from Colgate University.
