Medieval Studies Learning Goals

  • Become conversant in the cultural and historical contexts and works of the period.
  • Develop the critical thinking skills to analyze these works and contexts both in terms of the period and in their relationship to the present day.
  • Become proficient in using the tools of historical and literary research to investigate these contexts and works of the period.
  • Produce effective written analyses of these contexts and works.
  • Further the College’s mission of a liberal arts education through interdisciplinary study.
