Area high school students can explore more than 40 colleges and universities in one evening when Lycoming College and the Lycoming County Counselors Association (LCCA) host their annual College Night on Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at the Keiper Recreation Center. The event is free and open to students and families.

College Night at Lycoming College has been a tradition for more than 30 years, giving students an opportunity to talk one-on-one with college representatives without having to travel from campus to campus. Students can ask about majors, scholarships, financial aid, admissions requirements, campus life, and other aspects of the college experience.

“This event gives our local students a chance to have a lot of meaningful conversations in a short amount of time,” said Richard “Chip” Hinton, vice president for enrollment management and marketing at Lycoming College. “Whether students are just beginning to think about college or already have a list of schools in mind, they can ask questions, compare options, and leave the evening with a clearer sense of what they’re looking for.”

Registration fees from participating schools help fund scholarships awarded to students in every school district throughout Lycoming County.

To make the most of the evening, attendees are encouraged to preregister at StriveFair.com for a free barcode. Colleges can scan the barcode to receive a student’s contact information, eliminating the need to fill out individual information cards at each table. After the fair, students also receive an email report with information about the colleges that scanned their barcode.

Visitors can use 551 Mulberry Street, Williamsport, PA 17701, for directions to the Keiper Recreation Center complex.
