Associate Professor of Accounting

Prior to joining Lycoming College, Heather Moon worked at Forvis Mazars (formerly DHG, LLP), a certified public accounting firm. Her primary focus was auditing companies in the real estate, not-for-profit, leisure and employee benefit plan industries. In addition, she performed tax planning and preparation for individual and business returns, including corporations, s-corporations and partnerships.

Professor Moon holds a bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Scranton. She is a certified public accountant in Pennsylvania. She is an active member of the PICPA and is the Chair of the Editorial Board of The Pennsylvania CPA Journal.

Professor Moon primarily teaches financial accounting theory, including introduction to financial accounting, intermediate accounting theory, and advanced accounting.
