Assistant Professor of Biology
Donald McClelland is a botanist. He earned his PhD from The City University of New York and The New York Botanical Garden joint program in Biology where he studied the species of the genus Solanum from the islands of the Pacific. Currently, his research focuses on the Flora of Montserrat, West Indies, and the taxonomy and systematics of the family Solanaceae (the night shades). McClelland is also a beekeeper and maple sugar producer, and he enjoys being in the great outdoors.
