Instructor of Criminal Justice & Criminology
Tyler Houser is an Instructor in the Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology. He is completing his Ph.D. at the Department of Criminology, Law and Society at George Mason University. He earned his M.A. and B.A. from the Department of Criminal Justice at Radford University. His research and teaching interests span various areas of criminal justice and criminology, including terrorism and extremism, gun violence and mass violence, crime analysis, and quantitative and computational social science methodologies. His dissertation research provides a comprehensive assessment of domestic right-wing terrorism and explores the underlying belief system, radicalization risk factors, and attack patterns of extremists.
