Adjunct Faculty
Dana Brigandi is a part-time instructor of communication and media studies with a focus on public relations. She is the author of the book Images of Modern America: Williamsport (Arcadia Press). Previously, Brigandi spent more than a decade in the newspaper industry with the Williamsport Sun-Gazette and its related magazine publications. While at the Sun-Gazette, she received a Keystone Press Award Honorable Mention award for Niche Publication in 2011 and the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce Business Partner in Education Award in 2004.
Brigandi has been involved in several local nonprofit organizations over the past two decades, serving as a former board member of the Junior League of Williamsport, Kiwanis Club of Williamsport, and current board member of the Northcentral Pennsylvania Estate Planning Council.
During her career, she has been the recipient of several honors and awards including the library team at the James V. Brown Library when it received the Library of the Year Award from the Pennsylvania Library Association in 2021; Community Partner of the Year Award from North Central Sight Services in 2016; and the American Library Association’s Gale Cengage Learning Financial Development Award in 2015. She was named a YWCA of Northcentral PA Woman of Excellence in 2014.
She lives in South Williamsport with the other Brigandi adjunct faculty member and their two daughters.
