Alumni Weekend FAQs

Ask a Question

Where will I check in when I arrive?

Check in will be held in the Krapf Gateway Center on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Saturday, June 2, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. If you arrive outside of those hours, you will need to contact a member of Public Safety at (570) 321-4064 to check in.

If I request on-campus housing, which residence hall will I stay in?

The Douthat Commons and Crever Hall are the two residence halls being used for Alumni & Reunion Weekend.

What is GOLD and to whom does it apply?

GOLD is an acronym for "graduate of the last decade." We recognize that Lycoming alumni who have recently graduated are working hard to establish themselves. To make it possible for them to engage more often with their alma mater, the cost to attend many events will be lower for this group. GOLD applies to alumni who graduated in 2014 or after.

Can I choose my roommate?

Certainly! If you would like to have a roommate, please indicate your preference on your registration form. Most rooms have two twin beds. We have limited triples, available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you would like to stay in a triple, please call Amy Reyes at 570.321.4134.

What if I don't have a roommate? Will one be randomly assigned to me?

No way! If you do not have a preferred roommate, you will be assigned to a single room.

Can I choose my suitemate(s)?

If you have a preferred suitemate, you will indicate your preference on your registration form. Although preferred suitemates are not guaranteed, we promise to try our best to accommodate all requests!

Will I need to bring my own linens?

Each person choosing the room and board option receives a linen bundle containing a fitted sheet, flat sheet, pillowcase, thermal blanket, bath towel, hand towel, and washcloth. You must bring your own pillow. Anything else you’d like to bring is at your option, but please keep in mind that all linens are very basic. You are welcome to bring any linens that will make you feel more comfortable. It is strongly recommended that you bring a heavy blanket, as early June in Williamsport can be unseasonably cold!

How will I access the residence halls?

Upon check in, you will receive a key to your room and an Alumni & Reunion Weekend ID that will give you proxy access to your residence hall.

Do I need to carry my ID with me throughout the weekend?

We strongly encourage you to carry your ID with you, as you will need it to access the residence halls.

Are we celebrating class reunions during Alumni & Reunion Weekend?

Yes!  All 5-year reunions (5th through 50th and Heritage Club) will be celebrated during Alumni & Reunion Weekend.  There will be no reunion activities during Homecoming Weekend.

Are children welcome at alumni weekend activities?

Children are welcome at Alumni & Reunion Weekend, although there are no specific activities planned for children.

If I'm not staying on campus, do I have to register for events ahead of time, or may I simply "walk in"?

Advance registration is required for most events.

Where should I park on campus?

Ticketing will be suspended for Alumni & Reunion Weekend, with the exception of designated 24-hour staff parking spots, and handicapped spots. Please feel free to park in any lot that is most convenient for you.
