About WRLC 91.7FM
WRLC broadcasts from studios and offices in the Communications building on
Lycoming College campus. We broadcast 768 watts at 91.7MhZ. The staff
consists of student DJs Monday through Saturday, and some from the community
on Sundays. Our station can be heard within an approximate
15 mile radius, depending on conditions and terrain over the air waves,
but anywhere in the world over our online streaming link.
WRLC is in operation during the fall and spring semesters, with
limited operation during holiday and summer breaks. On weekends, the time is filled by community
members. During the off-hours, an installed satellite system
broadcasts the World Radio Network, programming from around
the world or Classical music.
WRLC is composed of student DJs from all academic
backgrounds with a broad variety of interests. We pride ourselves
on programming that is both unique and diverse. Student DJs play
their favorite genres, which culminates in a good variety including
Rock, Alternative, R&B, Punk, Country and more!
Join Us!
The more the better! It’s easy to get involved. WRLC is always
looking for new DJs with fresh variety and talent. You don’t
need to be a Communications major to join our staff, and you
don’t even need any experience. Training sessions are provided
each semester for new DJs, and it’s really not as difficult as it
seems. You can play any genre you wish, and are encouraged
to use your own music collection.
