By following the guidelines set forth by
the Individual Interdisciplinary Majors, a student may create a major in
Women's Studies. Women's Studies is also an established minor at
Lycoming College. The Women's Studies program explores issues such
as women in literature, art, history and politics. In addition,
students study the psychology and sociology of women as well as issues
including violence, sexuality, gender roles, ethnic differences, and the
role of patriarchy in women's lives.
