If you're interested in international careers such as business or international relations or if you're thinking about teaching or traveling the world, a French & Francophone Studies major is for you. Consider this:

  • More people learn French as a second language than any other language
  • French is the official language of more countries on more continents than any other language
  • English and French are global languages, and are the official languages of such agencies as the United Nations, the European Parliament and many more!

In addition to enhancing your conversational and writing skills, you will live French and Francophone cultures. Your professors, French films, literature, and even pop culture will be your guide.

Outside of the classroom you and your class mates will enjoy French cuisine, dances, parties and trips with Club Franco! Don't forget to schedule at least one semester at our affiliate program, Centre Universitaire d'Etudes Francaises de Grenoble.

Before you graduate, you will be dreaming in French!
