Digital Media (Film and Video Arts)
If you are interested in traditional filmmaking or video arts including narrative or documentary filmmaking, 2D Animation, motion Graphics, video art, installation video, and the moving image, this is the program for you.
The Department of Communication and the Department of Art & Design have come together to help you build the skills needed to create appealing messages and produce digitally-based media in the Digital Media Program. You will learn filmmaking, photography, motion graphics, graphic design and web design. Digital media courses help you create 2D animation, narrative, documentary, and experimental film, while art and design courses help you develop your talents in photography, graphic and commercial design.
Digital Media embedded in your Lycoming liberal arts education is a smart combination. Just ask Amanda Vicari, production assistant for the HBO Documentary, "Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball at Madison Square Garden," or Bart Makatche, executive producer at Nancy Glass Productions (Animal Planet, Fix This Yard, Kitchen Impossible).
