Lycoming College’s Department of Communication is proud to present films by senior digital media majors on April 8, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The film screening will be held at the Carmike Cinema Center (formally the Digiplex) at 300 W. 4th Street in Williamsport, Pa. Two weeks remain for submitting entries to Lycoming College’s 9th annual Student Film and Video Festival. Students currently enrolled at a post-secondary school in Pennsylvania are invited to submit a film or animated work by midnight on April 1.

Lycoming College will host a lecture by visiting Washington D.C.-based artist Amy Finkelstein and a reception for her film and photography exhibit, "Things rising and falling (from nothing, with glory)” on Feb. 18. The events are free and open to the public.

"(un)Truth" exhibition and lecture

“(un)Truth” will open Wednesday, Feb. 25 from 4-5:30 p.m. with a gallery talk at 4:30 p.m. in the Digital Media Gallery of the Communications Building on the corner of Franklin and Fourth streets. The artists will also give a lecture on Thursday, Feb. 26 from 9:30-11 a.m. in the Fine Arts Lecture Hall on the Lycoming College campus. Both of these events are free and open to the public.

"The Past is Present" in the Digital Media Gallery

An opening reception for “The Past is Present,” a solo exhibition, by Leah Bedrosian Peterson, associate professor of digital media communication, will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20 from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Lycoming College Digital Media Gallery, located on Franklin Street. This event is free and open to the public. The exhibit will be on display Nov. 20-Dec. 6. All other viewings are by appointment.

Digital Media Gallery to present alumna exhibit

Lycoming College will host "Speculation on the Trajectory of Human Kind," a video and photography exhibit by alumna Amanda Le Kline in the Digital Media Gallery from Feb. 26 to March 20. An artist lecture will be held Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 1 p.m. in the Fine Arts Lecture Hall. An artist talk and opening reception is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the gallery, which is located in the Communication Building, at the corner of W. Fourth and Franklin streets. Both the lecture and the reception are free and open to the public.
