Services for International Students

International students can choose from a range of resources to support their English language learning and overall academic success at Lycoming College.

Contact Alicia Purcell for in-person or remote appointments as needed. Alicia is a Lycoming student who specializes in assisting international students with their writing assignments at any stage of the process. Plan ahead by contacting Alicia at least 2-3 days before the due date. For remote sessions, students should send their drafts to Alicia via email, along with specific questions or concerns.

Math Center

Located on the 3rd floor of Snowden Library, the Math Center offers in-person, walk-in tutoring to all Lycoming students. Individual course tutoring times can be found on the Math Center webpage.

Subject Tutoring and Study Groups

All Lycoming students can contact subject-specific tutors for in-person appointments, whether one-on-one or in small groups as needed. Formal study groups are also offered for introductory biology, chemistry, and physics courses. For more information, visit the Subject Tutoring webpage and Study Groups webpage.

International students can request to participate in English-language discussion tables for further practice. Contact Mrs. Marleni Feinstein (see below) for more details.
