Faculty play an important role in the accommodation process. Specifically, faculty responsibilities involve providing accommodations listed in a student's Accommodation Letter, as well as vocalizing concerns or suggesting alternatives to the Coordinator in a timely manner. In addition, we encourage faculty to include a statement in every syllabus that addresses the process for receiving disability services (see example statement below).
Statement for Syllabus
Lycoming College provides academic support for students who officially disclose a diagnosed learning, physical, and psychological disability. If you have a diagnosed disability and would like to discuss accommodations, please contact Jilliane Bolt-Michewicz, Assistant Dean of Academic Services. Dean Bolt-Michewicz will help you arrange for appropriate academic accommodations. She can be reached by calling (570) 321-4050, emailing email@example.com, or visiting her office in the Academic Resource Center on the 3rd floor of Snowden Library.
