John Piazza, Italy
It's nearly impossible to sum up a study abroad experience in anything less than an hour worth of conversation or multiple pages of writing. In an effort to be brief though, this is the best way I can describe it -
Do you enjoy traveling? Do you find challenges appealing and exciting? Do other cultures and new people interest you?
If you answered "yes", you're a very similar person to myself. You'll certainly do all of that when you're there and, hell, you might even do more. I know I did. The experience I gained while I was in Italy has — and I don't say this lightly — changed me as a person more in that short amount of time than I ever thought possible. I grew up enormously and discovered what I want to do with my life. Keep in mind, all of this happened while having the time of my life in Europe. How many people can really say that? Studying abroad was one of the best decisions of my life; do it.

Going from the small setting of Lycoming College to the hustle and bustle of London was a great experience! I went from a two-minute walk to class to riding the London tube to class.
Currently a senior with a dual major in History and Political Science with a minor in Business Management, I studied abroad at the University of Westminster, in the heart of London, during the fall semester of my junior year, and completed my business minor there. Just three miles from Big Ben and down the road from Regents Park, I picked Westminster over other international schools because it is a true international school with students from over 140 countries. And, speaking no other languages fluently, studying at Westminster gave me the opportunity to still experience multiple cultures in an English-speaking setting.
London is a vibrant city full of history, tradition, culture and life. I lived in a flat in a 23-story building with students from around the world - my roommates were from Turkey, Germany, France, and Switzerland. While abroad I was able to travel to Ireland, France, Germany, and throughout the United Kingdom, but my favorite memories of studying abroad were exploring London, experiencing different cultures, and traveling!
