The staff consists of student announcers from all academic backgrounds with a wide variety of musical interests. This unique and diverse programming includes rock, hits from the 70's, 80's, and 90's, alternative, R&B, both old and new country, and more. Outside of the academic year, the station rebroadcasts “The Classical Station,” featuring the best in classical music. WRLC is a non-commercial education station and there are no commercials and no underwriting is aired during classical programming.

WRLC (Williamsport Radio Lycoming College) "The Thunder" started in the 1960's as a carrier current station and then went to a 10 Watt Class D FM over the air station, raising power to 740 watts in 1982. The transmitter and tower are located on Lycoming College’s Communications Building.
