At Lycoming College we offer a wide variety of courses in French, German, and Spanish that enable students to expand their current skills and enter new worlds. For those students who study abroad the challenge will depend not on the number of cities, museums, or monuments they see, but rather on their ability to recognize both the cultural differences of everyday life and the common experiences shared by all human beings. We offer study programs in France, Germany, Austria, Spain, and Mexico. Work experience abroad for academic credit is also available.

Modern technology enhances language study at Lycoming. Our language laboratory is designed as a video theater in which satellite television brings foreign culture directly to students. Resources include software tutorials and access to foreign language materials on the World Wide Web.

Course work for an interdisciplinary minor in Biblical Languages is available through the Religion department. The minor includes courses in both ancient Greek and ancient Hebrew.
