Music: Part-time Instructor, Voice

Sara Scott, soprano, is a voice faculty member at Lycoming College and an active member of the local musical community. She has been featured as a soloist in Schubert’s Mass in G with the Bloomsburg University Chamber Orchestra and Jubilate Choir in Bloomsburg, Pa., and as a soloist with the Williamsport Chamber Choir and Orchestra. Sara was selected through national auditions to participate in the 2018 OperaWorks Advanced Artist Program held in Los Angeles, California. The four-week intensive program included a public performance of the world premiere of Opera Reconstructed held at California State University, Northridge.

Scott received her Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Lycoming College in 2012 where she was a member and soloist in the Lycoming College Choir, Lycoming College Chamber Choir and the Lycoming College Tour Choir. She is also a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).

Sara has previous experience teaching musical theater classes and voice lessons as an adjunct instructor at the Community Academy of Stage and Theater, as well as directing summer theater camps at the Community Theater League in Williamsport, Pa. She is also a vocal instructor at the Uptown Music Collective in downtown Williamsport. In addition to her work as a voice professor and soprano soloist, Scott performs acoustic folk music at local venues and area events.
