Theatre: Technical and Scenic Director
Titus O’Neil is a freelance lighting/scenic designer and stage technician currently based in central Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Bloomsburg University’s theatre program and works as the entertainment technology assistant at Bucknell University. During his time at Bloomsburg, O’Neil designed, directed, and/or wrote several student and classroom projects. He served as scenic designer for the mainstage production of The Laramie Project, and his original one-act, In the Dark, was produced as part of the mainstage season. O’Neil has returned to his alma mater as a guest artist designing various dances, Good Kids and Be More Chill. At Bucknell University, O’Neil has designed several mainstage dances as well as the department’s productions of Emilie la Marquis du Chatelet Defends Her Life Tonight, The Wolves, and The Revolutionists. During the summer, O’Neil heads to the green mountains in Vermont where he works as the master electrician for The Bread Loaf School of English.
At the start of his professional career, O’Neil joined the student summerstock production of Jesus Christ Superstar as Technical Director. This musical was produced by the Williamsport Community Arts Center partnered with Lycoming College, so he is very excited to return to the launching point of his career.
