Medicare Quality Improvement Organization, Calif.
Michelle Pastrano continued her education after Lycoming at the University of Southern California’s Davis School of Gerontology where she earned her Master of Science in Gerontology. Michelle’s past experiences at Lycoming College drove her to follow her passion for helping people. She is currently working for the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) of California where she works on coordination of care by helping build healthcare communities and neutrally convening providers across the continuum of care. These providers, who were once competitors, are now partners in improving care for their patients. This work has been driven by healthcare reform and the Affordable Care Act and is occurring in every state across the nation. Michelle is looking forward to gaining more experience and hopes to pursue a doctoral degree in the future.
