Students who are planning to enter college or transfer schools are encouraged to learn more about the value of a traditional liberal arts education by visiting Lycoming College during an open house Nov. 12. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and the program begins at 11 a.m.
Along with the ability to meet professors and speak with students, visitors will be given a personalized, student-guided tour of the campus. Prospective students and their parents also will meet Susan Ross, director of the Center for Enhanced Academic Experiences, who will discuss the College’s opportunities for studying abroad, internships and undergraduate research.
Activities planned for the day include several presentations on the admission process, costs and scholarships, and career planning services. Presentations also describe the wide-range of activities and clubs, residential opportunities, intercollegiate and intramural sports, and campus safety. Participation in Lycoming’s many extracurricular activities encourages students to challenge themselves, accept leadership and engage in the community.
