Gamma Delta Sigma will host their annual Brandy Lee Sudol Auction on Sept. 19th at 10 a.m. in the East Hall Coffeehouse. Proceeds will benefit the Brandy Lee Sudol scholarship fund, which is given to an incoming biology/pre-medical student. This event is open to the public.
Brandy Lee Sudol, a fellow sister of Gamma Delta Sigma, lost her battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on Feb. 23, 1990. She was a passionate nursing major who was courageous, kind and generous. For the past 25 years, the sisters of Gamma Delta Sigma have held an auction in her honor to give back to an area of learning that she loved and to keep her giving spirit alive at Lycoming.
“This is so much more than holding an auction,” said Mallory Kern, auction chair, “it’s honoring a sister, and giving back to the Lycoming College community in her name. The sisters of Gamma Delta Sigma are proud to have the opportunity to continue this tradition in her honor.”
The auction includes 40 themed baskets made by the sisters of Gamma Delta Sigma. Some of the themes this year include: baking, camping, athletics, Bath and Body Works and cocktails. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase. The raffle items include an autographed Riley Cooper football, a necklace and earring set from Crystals Creations, gift certificates to local shops and restaurants in Williamsport and more.
