The mission of the Lycoming County Women’s History Project is to:

• Improve access to source material relating to the history of women in Lycoming County
• Increase the usage of materials relating to the history of women in Lycoming County by students, scholars, and community members locally, statewide and nationally
• Promote the preservation of materials relating to women and women’s organizations
• Promote cooperation among local cultural heritage institutions
• Serve as a model of for other cooperative local history projects
