Lyco-Secure Connection Instructions

Lyco-Secure is the default choice of Wi-Fi network for Lycoming students, faculty, and staff. Follow the instructions below for your device type to connect to the network.

Windows 10

  1. Click on the Wi-Fi/Networking icon on the bottom right (system tray)
  2. Select the network named “Lyco-Secure”
  3. Type in your username and password (username is without the @lycoming.edu) and click okay.
  4. It will ask you to continue connecting. This is due to accepting the certificate. Click “Connect”
  5. If your device is already registered with FortiNAC, you are done. If the device has never been registered with FortiNAC, open a browser and go to http://cnn.com and follow the steps through FortiNAC. It may pop up a browser on its own.

macOS

  1. Click on Airport icon in the Menu Bar
  2. Click on “Lyco-Secure”
  3. Type in your username and password (username is without the @lycoming.edu) and click Okay
  4. If your device is already registered with FortiNAC, you are done. If the device has never been registered with FortiNAC, open a browser and go to http://cnn.com and follow the steps through FortiNAC.

iOS

  1. Tap on the Settings App
  2. Tap on Wi-Fi
  3. Tap on the network named “Lyco-Secure”
  4. Enter your username and password (username is without the @lycoming.edu) and tap on “Join” on the top right
  5. It will display a certificate. Tap on “Trust” on the top right
  6. If your device is already registered with FortiNAC, you are done. If the device has never been registered with FortiNAC, open a browser and go to http://cnn.com and follow the steps through FortiNAC.

Android

  1. Swipe down from the top of your screen two times to fully open the settings tray
  2. Tap on Wi-Fi
  3. Tap on the network named “Lyco-Secure”
  4. “EAP method” should be set to "PEAP"
  5. “Phase 2 authentication” needs to be set to “MSCHAPV2”
  6. Select “Do not validate” under “CA certificate”
  7. Type “Lycoming” under “Domain” if required
  8. Enter your user name under “Identity” Leave “Anonymous identity” blank
  9. Enter your password under “Password” and press connect
  10. If your device is already registered with FortiNAC, you are done. If the device has never been registered with FortiNAC, open a browser and go to http://cnn.com and follow the steps through FortiNAC.
