Position Summary:

Lycoming College seeks an energetic professional to lead its Office of Residential Life. The Director of Residential Life is responsible for planning, supervising, and evaluating programs and services for students residing in College residence halls and apartments; ensuring that the residential experience fosters academic and personal growth and civic responsibility; administering college policies and conducting ongoing quality assessments of residential facilities.  As a member of the Division of Student Life, the Director works cooperatively with all areas of the college community to integrate college, departmental and divisional goals and student development philosophy into the residential experience. In addition, the Director is responsible for a robust conference program, including scheduling, staff supervision, billing and communication with visiting groups. The Director reports to the Associate Dean of Students.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

Master’s degree in higher education, student personnel or a related field.  Three to five years of progressive experience and responsibilities in residential life, including student life programming, administration and supervisory experience; demonstrated ability to coordinate programs successfully with other college departments; experience in group facilitation and conflict resolution; student staff training and development; budget and occupancy planning and management; computer literacy and a commitment to diversity as necessary.
