Professor Chris Reed, Director of the Math Center and

Mathematics Instructor, joins us for a brief look at the

mathematics behind some games. This hands-on class

will have participants playing games and exploring some

of the underlying mathematical concepts.

4:30 PM Cooking 101 (Jane Schultz Room)


Join Dining Service’s Executive Chef Frank Hummel and

Catering Director (cake decorator extraordinaire!) Erin

Brown for this hands-on cooking and dining experience.

6:30 PM Career Awareness Workshop (Jane Schultz Room)


David Kerr and Sean Nork from AT&T will share their

successful business experiences with us, and wil challenge

us as we look forward to college and future careers.

8:00 PM Bowling in the Stacks…and other games


The library is arguably the heart of a residential liberal arts

campus, as it is a place of research, innovation, study, and

unique events. Lycoming’s faculty librarians, however, take

things one step further: they teach students how to have

fun in creative ways. Join Professors Alison Gregory, Mary

Broussard, Taryn Bartholomew and Emily Hardesty as they

transform the stacks into bowling lanes.

With our field trip to Knoebel’s Grove coming up,

mathematics and physics of rollercoasters.
