Christmas Candlelight Service
This year marks the 45th anniversary of the Lycoming College Christmas Candlelight Service. We are eager to share the traditional lessons and carols with you and yours in a slightly different way this holiday season. The College has enjoyed a successful in-person fall semester of residential living and learning, thanks in part to diligent planning, a focused student body, and the advantageous landscape of rural Pennsylvania. To uphold a healthy finale to the semester, we have elected to host this event virtually.
The service will be available for you to watch beginning Sunday, December 13, at 7 p.m., as well as anytime throughout the holiday. We also recommend it as a viewing option on Christmas Eve for those whose traditional places of worship are not able to host services this year.
We invite you to rejoice with us as we enjoy this longstanding tradition. Please ready your candle if you wish to join in the lighting ceremony and singing of “Silent Night” toward the end of the program. With joy, we present the 2020 Christmas Candlelight Service. All our best to you during this blessed holiday season.
The Candlelight Service can be viewed here beginning Sunday, December 13, at 7 p.m.
