Temptation is essential. We are tempted by the world around us in ways that are ubiquitous and unpredictable. This is human nature and it is and has been necessary to survival and experience throughout all of our history. Although innate, temptation is a double-edged sword: equal parts good and bad. In a modern society, so dominated by our urges, where we are encouraged to give into our desires, this series is meant to shine light onto the darker parts of the subject. The series is meant to illuminate what I believe to be true: people will be better off if they are strong enough to resist these impulses that they know are leading them astray.
I feel that so much of my life I give my time and my attention to the trivial and decadent pleasures as if I am chasing something that I will never capture. We all have a yearning for worth and meaning but we are often seduced into searching for it in all the wrong places.
These urges seem so mundane and easy to ignore, yet they can have control over our lives and perceptions. If we take time to examine these internal desires, we can take control and start living rather than just existing.
