Shanna Wheeler came to Lycoming in 2007. She manages the Writing Center, non-math subject tutoring, and supplemental instruction (formal study groups); serves as an academic advisor and coach; teaches English composition; and supports faculty in the planning and teaching of writing-focused (W) courses across the curriculum.

Native to Mill Hall, PA, Mrs. Wheeler holds a B.A. in creative writing from Susquehanna University (2004) and an M.F.A. in English from Penn State University (2007). She published a chapbook (short collection) of poetry, Lo & Behold, with Finishing Line Press in 2009. Her first full-length poetry book, Evensong for Shadows, is forthcoming in 2018 from Resource Publications, an imprint of Wipf and Stock Publishers. Her individual poems appear in a wide variety of magazines and journals.
