SUPPORTING FUTURE WARRIORS Born and raised in South Williamsport, Charles Luppert ’63 graduated from Lycoming with a degree in business administration and went on to have a successful career in finance. Having worked his way through school, he didn’t have a lot of extra time to get involved and make connections with his classmates through collegiate activities. As an alumnus, however, Charles stays engaged by reading everything he can about the College and by talking to current students about campus life, as well as their goals and achievements. It is this re-engagement with his alma mater that persuaded Luppert and his wife to establish the Charles W. ’63 and Hallie H. Luppert Endowed Fund for Accounting in 2016. Funded through their estate plan, it was designed to support the accounting department at Lycoming and will be used to create new programs and support existing initiatives within the department. Luppert strongly believes that he should give back to the community that supported him and his family. “I credit Lycoming with my success and thought it was important to help organizations that did something for me, and Lycoming College was certainly one of them. The College has always been financially prudent and a good steward of the gifts people have given. Alumni can feel good about investing in our youth with a gift to Lycoming.” I credit Lycoming with my success and thought it was important to help organizations that did something for me.’’ “ T H E C AM PA I G N
