& O C TO B E R 6 - 8 • 2 0 1 7 HOMECOMING FAMILY WEEKEND ore than 1,100 alumni from across the country returned home to Lycoming in October to visit campus and reconnect with friends during Homecoming & Family Weekend 2017. The weekend kicked off with a Food Truck Festival along College Place, offering a variety of foods from local vendors including hamburgers, tacos and gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. As the evening raced by, alumni gathered together at the Annual Beer & Pretzel Tent to enjoy appetizers and alumni brews from Rusty Rail, Tröegs and Yuengling, as well as Frozen Run white birch beer. Afterward, attendees headed outside for a bonfire on the Fultz Quadrangle. Saturday morning drew alumni, family and friends to the Shangraw Athletic Complex for the OX Roast Tailgate lunch, where more than 200 attendees mingled in the warm weather as they waited to cheer on the Warrior football team. The day’s events wrapped up at the Party at Pine Square in downtown Williamsport with food and drinks at the Brickyard Restaurant & Alehouse and the Stonehouse Wood Fired Pizza & Pasteria. The chapel service on Sunday morning brought another fun-filled weekend to an end. View more photos from the festivities by visiting www.lycoming.edu/alumniphotos. Whether it’s the Thomas B. Croyle ’70 Memorial Golf Tournament that draws you back, the Beer & Pretzel Tent, or the football game, we hope you’ll join us for next year’s Homecoming & Family Weekend, Oct. 19-21, 2018.
