2021 Lycoming College Summer Magazine

Creating meaningful opportunities for alumni engagement during a pandemic challenged us, but also encouraged us to think of ways that will expand access to programming, enriching our work for years to come. As we start to resume in-person events, we are proud to reflect on the virtual gatherings offered over the past year and consider which ones may endure as part of our annual engagement efforts. Holly Andrews ’10 and Jordan Hollander ’10 Homecoming Virtual 5K 222 Warriors participated in the Homecoming Weekend Virtual 5K in honor or in memory of a loved one. Wine & Design Painting Melissa (Wright) Webb ’06 proudly displays her Long Hall painting. Beginner Hand Lettering Alumni shared an afternoon learning the basics of hand lettering and modern calligraphy during an online workshop. Warrior Coffee Tasting Alumni and friends enjoyed tasting two single-lot coffees from the Dominican Republic with Caroline Payne, Ph.D., associate professor of political science, and Brittney Gross ’18, former international development fellow for Warrior Coffee and current roasting/production lead at Alabaster Coffee Roaster & Tea Co. in Williamsport.
