Directing

The directing curriculum introduces you to fundamental principles of directing and helps you acquire tools necessary to create a structure for storytelling - from analysis and concept through rehearsal techniques and realization. The program is designed to help you develop skills in the craft of stage direction through focus on play analysis, visual storytelling, collaboration, and creative thinking.

Our project-oriented training gives you the opportunity to collaborate closely with fellow students, actors, designers, and technicians and find your unique voice and perspective through hands-on experience in various genres and styles in the Dragon’s Lair Theatre and the Mary L. Welch Theatre.

In addition, you have the opportunity to develop your unique senior project, and to build your professional resume through variety of experiences in multiple aspects of production.
