Lycoming College Postcards

Lycoming College was established in 1812 as the Williamsport Academy. In 1848 it was purchased by the Methodists and renamed Dickinson Seminary. In 1929 it evolved into Williamsport Dickinson Junior College. Finally, in 1947 it beca me a 4-year liberal arts college with the name Lycoming College. None of these postcards predate the 20th century, because the U.S. Postal Service only began allowing postcards in 1898.
