Super Experiments, Super Science

SUPERMARKET SCIENCE I is a class full of AMAZING experiments taught by Ms. Melissa Woods

Sophia Sprunger joined this class for third and fourth graders because she liked science.

Katie Sparling and Amanda Quintana wanted a course with experiments, so they chose this one and found the perfect class.

Many of the students said that they liked this class and that they learned a lot about science.

One project that they did was making soap crayons.  The students made soap so they could draw on their bathroom walls!

Another very cool project they made was stress balls created out of corn starch putty.

On the last day the students finished their tie-dye t-shirts, made bubble wands, and did a surprise experiment called the cat’s meow.

Scrap-It 1

SCRAP-IT is a class that lets everyone be creative while saving memories.  The class is taught by Mrs. Julie Marzzacco

This week they made a scrapbook.  They provided all of their own pictures, but Marzzacco brought an assortment of stickers, colored paper, punching tools, paper cutters, and scrapbook markers for the students to use.

Some kids in this course are first timers, but others have done this before and returned for another year.  This class is for students in grades 4 and 5.

Students in Scrap-it 1 enjoy making scrapbooks that are simple but very creative, while students in Scrap-it 2 make more advanced creative designs for their scrapbooks.

In Scrap-it 1, students learned how to crop or cut off the parts of their pictures that were either faded or blurry.

They also learned how to use different tools to punch out shapes and curve corners to decorate.

Livia Nash stated that her favorite tool was a utensil that traced a shape to cut it out perfectly.

Rebecca Hudson and Lauren Gruenhagen both agreed that they thought this class was fun.

On the last day students finished their scrapbooks and looked at everyone else’s.
