| WILLIAMSPORT, PA –Two new people
have been hired by Lycoming College as full-time faculty members
along with eight new members of the Lycoming College staff.
Michael Holmes
joins the psychology department as a visiting instructor. An
1998 graduate of
Lycoming College who received his M.S. degree in Neuroscience from
the University of Pittsburgh in 2001.He has a few publications and
presentations. He will be teaching in the Psychology Department
this year.
Mark Larson joins the Lycoming faculty this year as
visiting professor in business administration for the 2001-2002
academic year.. Larson was previously an associate professor of
business at Bloomsburg University. Larson has a Ph.D. in Labor and
Human Relations from Ohio State University and, before pursing an
academic career, worked in the labor relations field.
Patricia Bausinger of Williamsport, Pa., is the new campus
store manager. Bausinger comes to the college from The Bon-Ton
where she was the division sales manager.
Jennifer Hirko of Easton, Pa., has been hired as an admissions
counselor. Hirko graduated from Lycoming College in 2001 with a
degree in communications with an emphasis in electronic media.
Adrianna Kuckla, of Old Forge, Pa., has been hired as an
admissions counselor. Adrianna is a 2001 graduate of Lycoming
College with a degree in chemistry and secondary education
certification.
Shuana McQuillen of Altoona, Pa., has also been hired as an
admissions counselor. McQuillen is a 2001 magna cum laude graduate
of Lycoming College with degrees in psychology and criminal
justice.
Heather Myers of South Williamsport, Pa., is the new student
life coordinator. She recently completed her Master of Science
degree in college student personnel administration from Canisius
College in Buffalo, N.Y.
Leslie J. Schier has joined the staff as the new assistant
registrar. Schier relocated to the Williamsport area from Forks,
Washington, a year ago. She was previously employed at Forks High
School for 14 years, working her way up to the position of
registrar.
Georgia R. Smith has joined the staff of the John G. Snowden
Library at Lycoming College as Instructional Services Librarian
& Assistant Professor. She previously worked as the
Coordinator of Serials Processing at the University of Houston
Libraries. Smith holds a MSLS from Clarion University of
Pennsylvania and a BA in biology from Bucknell University.
Melissa Smith has been hired as the new Assistant Director of
Financial Aid. Melissa is a 2001 graduate of Lycoming College with
a degree in business and marketing.
Sarah Spencer of Williamsport, Pa., is the new student life
coordinator. Sarah comes to Lycoming College with a background in
academic advising, career services, and residence life. She earned
her Master of Science degree in college student personnel at Miami
University (Ohio). She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in
sociology at Western New England College. ###
