Lycoming College presents an evening of JAZZ AND POETRY on Tuesday, April 10^th, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mary L. Welch Theatre.

This is an evening celebrating both jazz and jazz poetry. The poets include Rick Madigan and Jan Selving from East Stroudsburg as well as Steve Cramer and Peggy Cronin, both graduates of Lycoming College, and Vanessa Stauffer, a senior Lycoming College creative writing major.

The poetry will be interspersed with music by a jazz trio consisting of Tim Breon on guitar, Chalie Holmes on bass and Steve Mitchell on drums.

Jan Selving and Rick Madigan have both been published in Brilliant Corners: A Journal of Jazz & Literature. The nationally distributed journal is published by Lycoming College. Dr. Sascha Feinstein, co-director of Lycoming College's creative writing program is the organizer of the event. Back issues of Brilliant Corners will be available.

Admission is free and a reception will follow.
