| Lycoming
College welcomes the Class of 2005, the largest freshman class in
a decade with 420 students. While 75 % of the class is from
Pennsylvania, 20 states and 6 foreign countries are also
represented. A little less than 10% are commuter students,
reflecting the residential character of Lycoming College. The class
is fairly evenly divided between men and women with slightly more women
.
The quality of the incoming class continues to rise, a trend that began about a decade ago. Some 80% of the entrants are in the top half of their high school class. Some 21 students were either the valedictorian or the salutatorian of their high school class. |
